KEEPING YOU IN THE LOOP...

❗️ ❗️NEW NONPROFIT IN CHARLOTTE ❗️❗️

Hope Kids | HopeKids National is a faith based nonprofit with exciting news that a launch of a North Caroline chapter is upon us-- the purpose is to extend their reach to the families in the Charlotte area who have a child with a life threatening medical condition. Did you know each year in the United States, approximately 500,000 children cope with life-threatening medical conditions. These conditions affect the entire family with more than half of parents suffering from acute stress disorders and 80% of siblings having elevated levels of post-traumatic stress? As a result of statistics like these it is the desire of HopeKids National to continue to bring the message that hope is a powerful medicine to as many people as possible. Help welcome a special new nonprofit, HopeKids to Charlotte.

Read Charlotte | New Program: Read Charlotte has developed a new turnkey reading program called Queen City Readers (QCR). The goal is to help adults with no formal literacy or education background to help children master basic K-1 word reading skills. They are interested in talking with churches who might be interested in exploring how they could integrate this new resource into their outreach work with young children next school year.

Hospice of Carolina Foothills | Family Support: They opened up a pediatric hospice program and currently have a client living in Matthews who is awaiting a heart transplant at Duke Hospital. They reached out inquiring if there might be anyone interested in supporting this family through volunteering with offering some light housework. With the family traveling back and forth to Durham so frequently, this would be a huge blessing.
